Hello Djibouti!

Getting off the plane we were greeted abruptly with a burst of hot, humid air that quickly brought a sticky film to our skin. After one month in Djibouti that feeling hasn't left us. The temperature still ranges in the low to mid 90's during the day with a heat index of over 105 degrees, but the nights cool down to the 80's.

After five visits to Djibouti Telecom and running around the city to get the papers we needed, we finally got internet in our apartment! It only took three weeks!

For the last month our days have been filled with learning Somali, exploring the markets, setting up our apartment, and just figuring out how to do life in Djibouti.  We look forward to sharing our journey with you.
